Please note that wood-burning hot tubs take time and intention to preprare. Depending on outdoor temperatures, it typically takes a minimum of about 90 minutes to heat once filled, so we encourage guests to leave plenty of time for filling, heating, and soaking during their stay. For guests hoping to maximize their hot tub experience, we do offer optional early check-in when available.
To allow enough time for the stove to fully cool, the water to safely drain, and our team to prepare the tub for incoming guests, soaking is not permitted on check-out day. Sweetbriar Ridge is a small independent, husband-and-wife-run hospitality business rather than a traditional hotel. All stays are self check-in and our hosts are not located onsite. While we are always happy to help when needed, we do not offer room service, 24/7 onsite staffing, or hotel-style concierge services. Our goal is to create a peaceful, private, and restorative experience where guests can slow down, unplug, and enjoy the beauty of nature with many of the comforts of home.
Unlike traditional camping, guests do not need to pitch tents, sleep on the ground, share bathrooms, or rought it outdoors. Our domes include comfortable beds with luxury linens, private bathroom and hot showers, heating and air conditioning, kitchenettes, Wi-Fi, cozy lounge spaces, and thoughtful design details throughout the space.
That said, guests are still fully immersed in nature. The domes are luxury canvas-style structures, which means you may hear rain on the roof, owls calling at night, wind moving through the trees, or occasionally encounter bugs, dirt, wildife, or other elements of the otudoors during your stay. For many guests, this is part of the magic and experience of reconnecting with nature in a more intentional way.
